Conventions Include:

• Rapid cuts
• Fits the characteristics of the genre - For pop music, bright colours, young people, and fun events ,such as parties, are sometimes included
• Dance routines are stereotypically included 
• Close ups and motifs 

• Props can be used
• Jump cuts are also traditionally used 
• Young artists are major in this genre. This also appeals to the young target audience
• Costumes are usually fashionable

• Colours are used to set a certain mood. For example, pink for love etc. This is demonstrated through lighting
