Location: Parsons Green
Reasoning: We have chosen to film our video in Parsons Green as we wanted a mixture of open spaces and urban scenes. At Parsons Green, we have access to the park and high street to meet our expected planned shots. The fact we are filming in the winter is even better and we wanted to created a cold scene, with bare trees etc, so the song and main character can almost warm the viewer. It's also important to note that we also chose it for convenience issues and meeting our cast.
Props
Props needed: Cue cards
Reasoning: Miming is traditionally a main feature of a music video. While it will still feature slightly in our video, we are taking a different approach in presenting the lyrics to the audience. This is through cue cards. We have concluded that this will present the calming, warming tone we want to set, and will also shows our creative thinking. We will make this cue cards ourselves out of white card and will focus on particularly important lyrics. Please note that the picture below is an example and will be remade nearer the time of filming.
Costume and Cast
We chose to use Georgina, firstly for convenience as she would be available whenever we need to film, as she is a member of the group. Georgina is also a regular girl, therefore strays away from the stereotype of using supermodel like people in music videos. We also didn't want to follow this stereotype as we feel it does not fit with the slow, emotional, genre of the song itself. Georgina also has the ideal wardrobe for how we picture our main character to dress, mostly consisting of jumpers and winter clothing, therefore it made sense to have her as our main character.
