Ancillary task (album cover analysis)

Target  audience: teenage girls from the age of 8-18 years old
Costume: Urban clothing (hoodies and hats etc) could have been used to represent their up bringing, makes them appear streetwise and  this clothing represents typical youths.
There is a clear use of synergy with the logo so easily recognisable to the viewer. In addition, the use of the colours blue and silver are associated with being quite calming and grand. Furthermore, the simplistic font and not too over the top. Moreover, they are posed and the background is backstage of a gig and gives an impression they mean business and are true artists/performers.

Target Audience: teenage girls from the age of 8-18 years old
Costume: Casual clothes
There is a clear use of synergy with the logo which is similar to the JLS album cover and is easily recognisable and it can seem they are trying to create a brand as the logo is used commonly on their merchandise and other products as well as on the album. In addition, there is a neutral colour scheme and the background has been photoshopped and represents their change in direction of music and exploring the genre of rock, however, still sticking to their roots.

Target audience: teenage girls aged 13-17 years old
Costume: Plain, simplistic, girly, quirky with the bracelets
There is a clear use of synergy as the logo is recognisable and there is a lot of thought gone into it as it reflects her personality and her quirkiness. Furthermore, this has inspired with ours because she is a solo artist and we might consider making ours similar to this.

Target Audience: 15+ and people into indie rock music
Bright colours are usually a convention of pop music videos and this shows their versatility. In addition, the use of graffiti links to their festival culture and can be seen as quirky and unusual and would allow it to stand out easily in a shop to the audience. Furthermore, with the text being placed in the middle of the album cover it allows that to be the first main focus for the viewer and with the use of bubble writing it could possibly reflect their bold and bubbly personalities in the band.
