Why we chose to make a Pop Music Video

We decided to make a pop music video as we are both very  interested in popular culture and are aware of the conventions of a music video. We are aware that creating a music video is challenging due to lip syncing issues, but we are determined to try and become more confident with editing. The ancillary tasks also appealed to us, particularly the magazine as we both created a pop based music magazine during our previous coursework tasks, and we feel confident about adapting and improving our skills in A2. 
It also contributes to what we aim to do in the future and is an example of the skills and determination that we already have. 
As mentioned, we are both aware of conventions of a music video, particularly popular music ones. This has allowed us to plan a video rather easily. This isn't to say ours will be a stereotypical pop video. We have decided to use our own ideas, such as cue cards, to give our project a sort of edge.
